According to information I got from previous owner, he said this item was in his antique shop about 10 years ago. I am unsure on actual age though it does have some age to it which you can see in the pictures.
It does still work though the leather is showing age so would not use since may damage it since pretty old according to previous owner who said it may be from late 1800's or early 1900's, to be conservative I made it in the 1920's.
It is quite long being almost 31" long and 9" wide, I think the metal is copper sheet though some others from early 1900's keep saying brass. The ship which can be seen in picture 3 is very nice.
Overall the piece is in good condition with some blemishes due to age.
