Santa in Sleigh Cookie Jar

Hoping I was right that this is older then 1998, there is no box or tag on bottom of jar except do not microwave or put in dishwasher. This was bought at estate auction and everything there was late 80's and 90's.
The Jar is about 11" long, 6" wide, and 10" tall. As you can see in pictures Santa head comes off to store cookies.
The cookie jar as no cracks, chips, or grazing that I could find. Would be great for that person who loves to decorate for x-mas.
